Noise Walk

-airplane -water dripping -rain -gutter rushing -cars splashing through puddles -cars honking -cars driving -shoes on concrete -doors opening -milk being steamed -shots being made -cash register opening -ice being scooped -fridge opening/shutting -girls talking -pens writing -papers -boots in hallway -water fountain -people sipping -laughing -radio -birds chirping -backpack zipping -people taking orders -people watching tv -sink runing -toilet flushing I never realized how many noises go on around me. It is easy to become unaware of your surroundings. By being blindfolded I was able to tune into all of the noises in the background. There is so much depth to the simple sounds that are in every day life. We really are never in silence. Even though I didnt see where I was, I always knew because of the noises. I could tell I was in the coffee shop, or in a bathroom, or outside. I associated noises with their surroundings. It was so interesting to realize the things that I so easily miss in my daily routine.
